God our Groupie.

A few weeks ago, I heard this Lovesong - it got stucked in my brain immediately.
'Cause all of me
Loves all of you
Love your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections
Give your all to me
I'll give my all to you
You're my end and my beginning
Even when I lose I'm winning
'Cause I give you all of me
And you give me all of you, oh oh...
(John Legend - All of me)
This song reminded me of the most famous bib levers in the bible (John 3,16)
This could be a song that God sings to me...because basically what he says in this song is the same like in the biblevers:

John 3,16 - 18
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

He gave us everything, and he wants all of us.
He loves us.
He loves us even though we dont deserve his love and are imperfect.
Through the loss of his Sons, Jesus Christ life he gave us victory over death and eternal life.

How crazy isn't that?
He loves us so much and is so crazy about us, that he gave his son to die for us, to give us eternal life.
Even though we did and still do so many stupid things in life and we would never ever reach the standard of God - perfection, a holy God!

Psalm 103 10-12
He does not deal with us according to our sins,
nor repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;
as far as the east is from the west,
so far does he remove our transgressions from us.

Romans 5, 8 - 9
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God

I once heard a preacher compare God with a Groupie.
First I thought this is a pretty stupid thought, but when i looked up the word I found out that this is actually a really good expression of God. I will explain you why...

A groupie is the biggest fans of fans ...
He does everything to express his love for his idol. He goes to all the concerts and prints t-shirts, makes signs, gets a tattoo with their picture or name, knows all the songs, gives everything to be on the front row at the concerts, knows everything about them...
To say it shortly.... they are CRAZY about their Idols.
Have you ever seen a Justin Bieber fan?

A groupie is a person whose devotion to a person (usually a celebrity, especially a rock and roll star) approaches the level of fanaticism. (Urban Dictionary)

This is actually how God is about YOU!
He is really crazy about you, he is your biggest fan, he adores you so much that he gave his most precious, his everything, his dearest son Jesus Christ. He gave him to you, so that he could take all the mistakes you have done in your life on himself and die for it in your place. And why? So that you could come to God. Because he so badly wanted to be with you, because he loves you like crazy. And he did everything to be together with YOU.

In the bible God describes himself as LOVE!
1.John 4,8 - 12
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.

There is also a very famous chapter in the bible, the one we call the chapter of Love! (1.Cor 13 4-8)

Love is patient and kind;
love does not envy or boast;
it is not arrogant or rude.
It does not insist on its own way;
it is not irritable or resentful;
it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
Love bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things.
Love never ends.

So if God is Love, shouldn't this describe Gods character?
The Love God has, towards us?

John 15,9
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.

WOW, GOD IS AMAZING!
Never forget how crazy much he loves you, God is your biggest fan and he is cheering on you!
Whenever you have a hard time, always think of this:
This is how God is about YOU! :D

God Bless!

Does God still heal?

Acts 1,8
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you..."

Mark 18,17-18
And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover...

1.Pet 2,24
"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed".

I`ve always heard people speak about healing and many of my friends even experienced that on their own body... but what about me ?

My Story...

End of 2011 i got the diagnosis "Deep vein trombosis".

Deep vein thrombosis, or deep venous thrombosis, (DVT) is the formation of a blood clot (thrombus) within a deep vein, predominantly in the legs. Non-specific signs may include pain, swelling, redness, warmness, and engorged superficial veins. Pulmonary embolism, a potentially life-threatening complication, is caused by the detachment (embolization) of a clot that travels to the lungs. (Wikipedia)

That´s how my leg looked like! Nice, hm?

Not only enough with that...

After many blood tests and so on they found out, I have an genetic sickness called "Factor V".

What is factor V Leiden thrombophilia?
Factor V Leiden thrombophilia is an inherited disorder of blood clotting. Factor V Leiden is the name of a specific gene mutation that results in thrombophilia, which is an increased tendency to form abnormal blood clots that can block blood vessels.
People with factor V Leiden thrombophilia have a higher than average risk of developing a type of blood clot called a deep venous thrombosis (DVT). DVTs occur most often in the legs, although they can also occur in other parts of the body, including the brain, eyes, liver, and kidneys. Factor V Leiden thrombophilia also increases the risk that clots will break away from their original site and travel through the bloodstream. These clots can lodge in the lungs, where they are known as pulmonary emboli. Although factor V Leiden thrombophilia increases the risk of blood clots, only about 10 percent of individuals with the factor V Leiden mutation ever develop abnormal clots.

The end of that story (or the 2 weeks in hospital) was lifelong medication and many risks and problems extra - for free, yay! Cannot be cured, yes NOT CURABLE! NEVER!
Pregnancy would be a great risk and I could die. No dangerous sport (including my big dream motorcycling), because i could die. Not this, not that...

I mean, I heard about all this healing stuff, but does it work on me too?
I started to study this and as the time went by I became greater and greater faith for this. For some months now I have been praying a lot for it.

And again...

About one week ago I had pain in my legs and back - the same symptoms as the last time. I was really scared this would happen again and so i immediately went to the doctor.
After some hours of waiting and testing me there, they sent me further on to the hospital where i stayed one night...
I thought for myself "Not again... BUT i prayed?"

Well, while I was waiting there for a result I came to myself again and i took a decision.

THIS IS NOT HAPPENING AGAIN. I RESIST THIS. GOD PROMISED HE WILL HEAL US: I WILL NOT ALLOW THIS.

Of course, before I even went to the doctor many people had already prayed for me and I really stayed in that promise that God has given us - the promise of healing!

The next day and after a felt million tests, the doctor came with the result - NO thrombosis.
So far so good, but what about the genetic sickness then?
He told me he had set the blood to an expert and in a few days I would get a letter.
So i waited...

GUESS WHAT???
Nothing! YES, exactly - NOTHING!!!
NO Sickness, NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no logic explanation for this, this is just totally GOD!

God is our HEALER!
I am totally set free!
HEALED!!!

God has given us the power by the holy spirit to heal others in his name but also get healed by his name. God is our father, he wants the best for us and ONLY the best!Sickness is nothing that comes from God and nothing he wants us to be. If it comes, we should not allow it to stay, but resist it.
HE WANTS TO HEAL - TODAY!

Our Missionfield this year

Belgium and Germany!

Belgium
Capital: Brussels
Official languages: dutch (south), french (north), german
Population: around 11.200.000

Belgium became independent from the Netherlands in 1830; it was occupied by Germany during World Wars I and II. It has prospered in the past half century as a modern, technologically advanced European state and member of NATO and the EU. Tensions between the Dutch-speaking Flemings of the north and the French-speaking Walloons of the south have led in recent years to constitutional amendments granting these regions formal recognition and autonomy. (YWAM)

Germany
Capital: Berlin
Official languages: german
Population: around 82.000.000

In eastern Germany, Communism and after that economic difficulties left deep marks in the spiritual lives of the people. The Christian faith is reduced to the margins of society. Many people don't know what the Gospel is all about. (ECM)

Ministry to young people is vital for a fading Church. The large majority of active Christians are over age 50, and only about 2% of the nation’s youth call upon Jesus as their Saviour. There is a new openness to Jesus as the spiritual immunization of quasi-Christianity fades. (OperationWorld)

This is my amazing (missions)team for this year! (Eirin, Benjamin, Me, Tim and Livia to the right)

The great Commission - OUR Calling

GO! ...
I am pretty sure many of you feel like I did when i heard about mission and especially the "great commission"! - AFRAID!
Well, I never said it out loud, bur honestly i was seriously afraid that God is gonna send me to Afrika or some place I really didn't want to go! I didn't even dare to think about it ...NONONONO!!!
Lets take it from the beginning...
I was actually born into a "Missionaryfamily" (if that's a word). Even before I was born missions was something my parents had strongly on their hearts. When I was a baby we lived in Hungary, later on in Germany and then Norway and then we went to Germany again (my parents are still there), well and now I am here for missions in Norway! Somehow, without actually really thinking about it I stepped into the footsteps of my parents - I AM A MISSIONARY!

My Calling!
Especially last week God called strongly on my heart to give my whole life for missions. Well that is quite a big and important calling - and to be honest, it freaked me out!
It took me some time to let it sink in, but my heart is burning to see many young people in fire for God - and I would love to be one of many persons to serve Him to make that happen! My heart is bleeding when I see the broken hearts and the desperate longing for Love in this world. I am called to give them the only thing that can fill that hole - JESUS!

Please stay in prayer with me!

Pray that God my send workers and put a longing in peoples hearts to see that vision come true!

So why do we need missions?
Do you actually understand the importance of us going out and telling people about Jesus and share his love? Do you think it is important? Well, if you don't think so... *PIEEEP* ...WRONG ANSWER! ... IT IS!
This is a thing about DEATH and LIFE! We are actually Lifesavers!

Think like this...
Titanic. The ship is sinking. Many people are in the water, screaming for help. Noone comes to save them - because they are afraid. They die.

Is this the end?

But you do not have to be afraid, because God is there ALLWAYS!
And if he calls you - he gives you the ability to do it and to fullfill it, he sends helpers in your way and he makes it possible!

This should not be the End! Your task is to go out and save those lifes!!! Be a Lifesaver!
YOU ARE CALLED!

How my week looks like...

Hello again!
I wrote a little bit about the special things that has happened the last time... now I want to show you how a "normal" week in Jesus Revolution looks like...
We are "Fulltimeworkers" for Jesus, that means a lot is happening, and there is a lot to do - ALL THE TIME! ... our motto here is "Be prepared out of season and In season" ... or "Be prepared for anything at anytime!!!" :D

This is an example of how a week looks like ... ;)
We start early and there is always crazy much going on - ALL FOR JESUS! And of course we also start our day with Jesus (Or what we call PT - Personal time). Then a good norwegian breakfast and like every "normal" biblestudent here at the bibleschool, we join the teaching and have school until 1 pm. The difference between them and us is - our day continues with a lot more teaching and work. We have practical work (to rake the leaves, gardenwork...) and we work for the organisation and with "Summerteam", a missiontrainingscamp we have every summer. A lot needs to be organized and planned and our help is needed. We learn a lot of dramas and dances for the outreaches we have AND of course we have a lot of outreaches every week!
The only day we have off is saturday! And we really learn how to rest! :D

All of this is for winning people for Jesus ! Its about life and death! Finally i really understood the importance of what we are doing... we are actually saving people from death! I know how a doctor must feel like when he is saving a man's life! Its amazing!

Our first Outreach with the Youthgroup in "Jesuschurch"

WE WANT IT TO GROW!

We have a quite small youthgroup in our church, even though the church in itself has quite many members. We in Jesus Revolution wanted to help them! Our plan is, to have an Outreach every friday before the youthmeeting. There we want to invite young people to come and pick them directly up " from the street" and into the church. Good plan so far! But this Outreach went way far over my expectations.
I was allways scared to talk with strangers, especially about Jesus. And to stand there in front of whole Oslo and talk about him was even "worse"!
I allways struggled alot with my boldness. But this time I really had a "Breaktrough"!
It felt so natural to stand there in the streets and even more to talk about it with all the strangers. Gods presence was so strong and he came over me with such boldness, what am I actually afraid of? Nothing can stop me as long as I have Jesus! :)
I had many really good conversations and many people got touched by Gods incredible Love.

But the biggest challenge that afternoon was actually something totally different. DANCING!
I dont like to dance, esprecially not when many people are watching me and I think i really look stupid. I felt so uncomfortable... BUT I decided to have an positive attitude and just go for it! The awesome thing is, I had so much fun even though I did a lot wrong. But since we all looked so stupid ( had 1 hour to practice the dance) and all of us just gave it all and had fun, it attracted a lot of people and we could share the gospel and our stories with them. This was really a Hit!
Even dancing can be fun if I just make fun of it and have the right attitude. It was a challenge, but i managed it!!!
