Our Missionfield this year

Belgium and Germany!

Belgium
Capital: Brussels
Official languages: dutch (south), french (north), german
Population: around 11.200.000

Belgium became independent from the Netherlands in 1830; it was occupied by Germany during World Wars I and II. It has prospered in the past half century as a modern, technologically advanced European state and member of NATO and the EU. Tensions between the Dutch-speaking Flemings of the north and the French-speaking Walloons of the south have led in recent years to constitutional amendments granting these regions formal recognition and autonomy. (YWAM)

Germany
Capital: Berlin
Official languages: german
Population: around 82.000.000

In eastern Germany, Communism and after that economic difficulties left deep marks in the spiritual lives of the people. The Christian faith is reduced to the margins of society. Many people don't know what the Gospel is all about. (ECM)

Ministry to young people is vital for a fading Church. The large majority of active Christians are over age 50, and only about 2% of the nation’s youth call upon Jesus as their Saviour. There is a new openness to Jesus as the spiritual immunization of quasi-Christianity fades. (OperationWorld)

This is my amazing (missions)team for this year! (Eirin, Benjamin, Me, Tim and Livia to the right)

The great Commission - OUR Calling

GO! ...
I am pretty sure many of you feel like I did when i heard about mission and especially the "great commission"! - AFRAID!
Well, I never said it out loud, bur honestly i was seriously afraid that God is gonna send me to Afrika or some place I really didn't want to go! I didn't even dare to think about it ...NONONONO!!!
Lets take it from the beginning...
I was actually born into a "Missionaryfamily" (if that's a word). Even before I was born missions was something my parents had strongly on their hearts. When I was a baby we lived in Hungary, later on in Germany and then Norway and then we went to Germany again (my parents are still there), well and now I am here for missions in Norway! Somehow, without actually really thinking about it I stepped into the footsteps of my parents - I AM A MISSIONARY!

My Calling!
Especially last week God called strongly on my heart to give my whole life for missions. Well that is quite a big and important calling - and to be honest, it freaked me out!
It took me some time to let it sink in, but my heart is burning to see many young people in fire for God - and I would love to be one of many persons to serve Him to make that happen! My heart is bleeding when I see the broken hearts and the desperate longing for Love in this world. I am called to give them the only thing that can fill that hole - JESUS!

Please stay in prayer with me!

Pray that God my send workers and put a longing in peoples hearts to see that vision come true!

So why do we need missions?
Do you actually understand the importance of us going out and telling people about Jesus and share his love? Do you think it is important? Well, if you don't think so... *PIEEEP* ...WRONG ANSWER! ... IT IS!
This is a thing about DEATH and LIFE! We are actually Lifesavers!

Think like this...
Titanic. The ship is sinking. Many people are in the water, screaming for help. Noone comes to save them - because they are afraid. They die.

Is this the end?

But you do not have to be afraid, because God is there ALLWAYS!
And if he calls you - he gives you the ability to do it and to fullfill it, he sends helpers in your way and he makes it possible!

This should not be the End! Your task is to go out and save those lifes!!! Be a Lifesaver!
YOU ARE CALLED!

How my week looks like...

Hello again!
I wrote a little bit about the special things that has happened the last time... now I want to show you how a "normal" week in Jesus Revolution looks like...
We are "Fulltimeworkers" for Jesus, that means a lot is happening, and there is a lot to do - ALL THE TIME! ... our motto here is "Be prepared out of season and In season" ... or "Be prepared for anything at anytime!!!" :D

This is an example of how a week looks like ... ;)
We start early and there is always crazy much going on - ALL FOR JESUS! And of course we also start our day with Jesus (Or what we call PT - Personal time). Then a good norwegian breakfast and like every "normal" biblestudent here at the bibleschool, we join the teaching and have school until 1 pm. The difference between them and us is - our day continues with a lot more teaching and work. We have practical work (to rake the leaves, gardenwork...) and we work for the organisation and with "Summerteam", a missiontrainingscamp we have every summer. A lot needs to be organized and planned and our help is needed. We learn a lot of dramas and dances for the outreaches we have AND of course we have a lot of outreaches every week!
The only day we have off is saturday! And we really learn how to rest! :D

All of this is for winning people for Jesus ! Its about life and death! Finally i really understood the importance of what we are doing... we are actually saving people from death! I know how a doctor must feel like when he is saving a man's life! Its amazing!

Our first Outreach with the Youthgroup in "Jesuschurch"

WE WANT IT TO GROW!

We have a quite small youthgroup in our church, even though the church in itself has quite many members. We in Jesus Revolution wanted to help them! Our plan is, to have an Outreach every friday before the youthmeeting. There we want to invite young people to come and pick them directly up " from the street" and into the church. Good plan so far! But this Outreach went way far over my expectations.
I was allways scared to talk with strangers, especially about Jesus. And to stand there in front of whole Oslo and talk about him was even "worse"!
I allways struggled alot with my boldness. But this time I really had a "Breaktrough"!
It felt so natural to stand there in the streets and even more to talk about it with all the strangers. Gods presence was so strong and he came over me with such boldness, what am I actually afraid of? Nothing can stop me as long as I have Jesus! :)
I had many really good conversations and many people got touched by Gods incredible Love.

But the biggest challenge that afternoon was actually something totally different. DANCING!
I dont like to dance, esprecially not when many people are watching me and I think i really look stupid. I felt so uncomfortable... BUT I decided to have an positive attitude and just go for it! The awesome thing is, I had so much fun even though I did a lot wrong. But since we all looked so stupid ( had 1 hour to practice the dance) and all of us just gave it all and had fun, it attracted a lot of people and we could share the gospel and our stories with them. This was really a Hit!
Even dancing can be fun if I just make fun of it and have the right attitude. It was a challenge, but i managed it!!!

Me preaching in front of the parlament

Jesusrevolution on National Tv/Kanal10

Hello again!
Last week, the 24th of september we visited a national tvchannel called "Kanal10". Actually they were only supposed to interview our teacher Oddleiv, but he just took us all with him to the studio. SURPRISE!!! We only had a little bit more than about half an hour to talk about Jesus Revolution, give a short testimony and so on ... It had to be "Short, Sharp and On fire"!.
I would not say luckily ... but actually for us it was... a man who were supposed to come was sick or didn't have time. That was our chance!!!! Now we had about one and a half hour to talk about everything. And we soooo used that time.
Oddleiv (our teacher) started. He first said some general information about what we and so on... than they shortly interviewed us all. Dodo got the chance to preach later on, and he took that chance ... If i wouldn't be saved allready, I would be it latest after having watched him preach!!! He preached his heart out!!! It was great!
And then it was my chance... I was given the opportunity to share my testimony. I shared my lifestory and I really believe someone had to hear it and it helped someone out there who watched us.
In the End we all shared our testimony again and the whole team at the studio and us prayed together. What an amazing time.

All of this was really an prayeranswer!
Because the week before, we had an prayer- and fastingweek. One of the things we prayed for, was that Jesusrevolution should be known thorugh media. And it happened!

Whats gonna happen next?

Mountaintrip to "Beseggen"

From Friday the 12.09. to Sunday the 14.09.2014 we had a mountaintrip to a place called "Besseggen" here in Norway. First of all this trip was to get to know each other better and also a little bit to test us ans see how we react when we get on our limits!
And i really did.... it was a 8 hour walk over several tops. Especially one part when we had to climb. It was going several hundreds of meter straight down on both sides and straight up in front of you... and yes, you had to climb up there. Since I really like hights ,,,,NOT!... this was a biiiiig challenge for me. But i managed it!!!

I am really impressed how positive everyone stayed, eventhough it was hard and everyone was tired. God has really brought a bunch of great people here this year :)

But of course this trip was not only a challenge but a time of fun, fellowship and a lot of JESUS! We shared our stories together around a bonfire, singing and worshipping God and of course we had crazy much fun with playing games and doing some awesome teamchallenges. We were dressing up as wikings and doing real wikingstuff! :D

What i do this year (2014/2015) - Jesus Revolution

Akerbrygge/Oslo
Jesusrevolution - Akerbrygge/Oslo
Is there a God? Where is he? How can I get to know him? Why should I follow him?

There are are many questions that needs to be answered. But who can I ask? Where can I go? Or if I allready know him, how can I share my faith?

That is our calling here in "Jesus Revolution"! To share this incredible, everlasting Love God has for everybody. This longing he has to get to know YOU. He wants to show you the real picture of yourself. How precious and perfect made you are in his eyes.

Preaching at National Tv/Kanal10

"The goal is to create a movement of young people around the world who preach the gospel and inspire one other by sharing testimonies, videos and photos of what they are doing. In this way, the youth of the world can be reached with the gospel and made into followers of Jesus Christ."
Our first day at school.
